About the Project
This book presents "aesthetics of post-orientalism," proposing a reproducible method for aesthetic judgment. From the "paper-and-line" apparatus to the "QuarkTonal" system based on the two-cent fixed unit, this treatise combines Kantian limits, Badiou's event, and Rancière's distribution of the sensible to transform listening into a testable procedure.
The work provides a toolkit for composers and theorists where units are defined, frameworks specified, invariants tracked, and demonstrable truths constructed. This methodology shifts music from subjective interpretation to verifiable experience.
Frequency appendices and forty-four audio tracks in twenty-two QuarkTonal scale configurations accompany the text to clarify the connection between theory and auditory experience.
Ehsan Saboohi, composer and theorist of post-orientalism, establishes the philosophical and methodological foundations of a project that will extend to harmony and counterpoint in subsequent volumes within the post-orientalist musical framework.

Abstract
This work examines how aesthetic practice can provide genuine philosophical inquiry in contemporary contexts. It proposes aesthetics of post-orientalism as a method combining Kantian epistemology, Badiou's event theory, and Rancière's sensible distribution to create reproducible aesthetic judgments. The QuarkTonal system operationalizes these concepts through a 2-cent musical unit, offering composers and theorists testable procedures for analysis and composition.
