Are there any questions left unanswered for the string quartet?
The answer is very difficult. The repertoire of the string quartet is extensive. Writing a string quartet is like a gamble for any composer. 99% chance of failure and only 1% chance of adding to the history of this heavy repertoire. Is this gamble worth it?
